CLING TO THE WORD OF GOD

Believers are called to hold on to the Truth of God. The Truth gives freedom to all magnitudes of life.   Giving peace to have excellent conclusions.  In one of the articles I read, Paul reflected the importance of Truth to Christians, he said, “Jesus embodies the Truth; He is the Truth. Thus, to believe in Christ is to be firmly fixed on knowing the Truth, sticking with it, living out the Truth, and teaching it.” (Author unknown) Believers believe only the Truth of God.  They prove all things and hold on to what is good. (1Thes 5:21) We are seeing today many unevenness in the teachings of the Gospel of Christ. Danger lurks in these dark realities. Remember God is not the author of confusion (1Cor 14:33). God gives us ways of Grace for us to know and walk accepted in His eyes.  We are asked to show ourselves advocates of God. To be believers without shame. Rightly handling the Word of Truth. (2Tim 2:15).  All  questions on God and Salvation should be based on the Bible alone. Living in faith. We are in the league of the prophets, a chosen generation.  Have you been in difficult situations and felt tempted to disobey God because life had become too hard for you to endure?  Most of us know what it feels like to be betrayed, rejected or forgotten.  We have heard the whispering voice of the enemy telling us that we have been treated badly, and there is no reason for us to maintain a steady sense of faith.  After all, God would understand if we protest what was.  Adversity always reveals the true nature of our character. Daniel was steady in his faith.  Though he had been wrongly accused, he did not dwell on this.  Instead, he focused his heart on the Lord.  Not once do we read that he frantically cried out to God. He knew that God was aware of what’s happening. He trusted God for the outcome because he had an unshakeable promise buried deep within his heart. He believed God will protect him even in times of huge troubles. God uses situations like Daniel’s to purify one’s faith, and God does the same thing with our lives today.  He allows difficulty, not to terrify us but to strengthen and purify us.  Overcoming the situation will become a reflection of His hope to others.  All these victories happen in Christ and the sufficiency of His Grace. Let’s trust God, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and His amazing Grace flowing in us.  Your life will be at ease and your walk victorious. Smiling faces from the Church, family and loved ones. BLESSINGS! Pastor Edpaul
