CLOSENESS TO GOD

Your closeness with God determines the impact of your life.  The more profound your fellowship with Him, the more powerful your influence regardless of who you are or where you came from. “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” 1John 4:6  It’s your relationship with God that makes all the difference in what kind of effect you have in the world. So how do you achieve a seed and transformative relationship with Him? These three ways can help the Believer to have a close relationship with the Almighty God in Christ Jesus. First, Read God’s Word and look for the application in your  life. Ask God what He wants you to do: How does this apply to my life?  How do you want me to respond to You in obedience? You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about Me, John 5:39 Second, Pray, make your life one long conversation with God, one in which you share all the joys as well as the sorrows. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1Cor 15:58 Third, Listen, realize how important it is to actively listen to Him. Train your ears to hear Him so you can have the Lord’s direction, wisdom and power.  “For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened.” Hebrew 4:2 Reading the Bible is the way to enlighten us about Godly ways. His words, instructions and love are clearly shown in His Book.  Remember God talks to us from the Bible. God can do a lot of things in our life.  So read His Word, pray and listen to Him. And allow Him to make your life a platform of His Glory.   “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” Col 3:14 People see the Believers with expectations that they are good people.  The way we conduct ourselves will show our closeness to the Lord and with these He is pleased.
