DELIGHT IN THE LORD
Think of this praise. “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4 The sequence is to delight, be captivated and enjoy God before you can desire Him wholeheartedly. To desire His Righteousness one should be truly hungry and thirsty for them. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” (Mat 5:6) Sometimes we feel, “nothing works”, let Jesus blood shed on the Cross satisfy you. Your pain can’t be higher than His pain. Be holy, godly and wise. “True godliness is always a matter of desire. Not of custom, fashion, habit, excitement, passion or chance. Repentance, faith, love -- none of these can be found in a man unless he desires to have them.” --- (Spurgeon). The Grace of God given freely still has to be desired in holiness and righteousness. Its ability to the usefulness among fellow Believers, the extensiveness of truth, the prosperity of the church and the spread of the Gospel of Christ God’s demand is the one He gives. Men’s righteousness if not from God, often leads to condemnation and away from God. In Christ, His Grace saves. When sinners or unbelievers come to the awakening of their need of God and dependence of salvation they press on to Him in Christ. Walk in the truth that sets free. What is the truth? Jesus said, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). An incredible statement, powerful and final. Jesus couldn’t be, unless He was more than a man, which is actually what He claimed to be. His claim was validated when He rose from the dead. He Resurrected. Amen. The Bible says, “Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness, by the Resurrection from the dead” (Romans 1:3-4). Receive His blessing, “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1Thes 5:23) His shed blood on the Cross gives power for Believers to see the Truth. Desire God. Live in Peace. Be blessed
