GODLY OBEDIENCE

Praise the Lord! Great blessings belong to those who fear and respect the Lord, who are glad to do what He commands. A person who follows the commands of God shows his true love for God, (1 John 5:3). God appreciates the love for Him so He gives the descendants of the person power on earth.  When the power is done in righteousness they will be greatly blessed. Their family will be very rich, and their goodness will continue forever. There is no eternal value that we can assign to the eternal love of God, the overflowing goodness of His mercy and grace, and His compassion that engulfs us and holds us secure and close to Him whenever the winds of adversity blow hard against us. When you face sorrow, heart-break and disappointment of any kind, He will comfort you so that you will not grow weary (Isaiah 40:31). He will teach you how to trust Him to a greater degree, and He also will show you how to comfort others who are hurting and facing tremendous trials (2 Cor 1:4-7).

            The problem that you are struggling with today may be one that has lingered for a long time___ so long, in fact you may wonder if it will ever be resolved and if life will turn to normal. A light shines in the dark for those who are good, for those who are merciful, kind, and fair.  Obey God and you will know what it means to walk in the light of His eternal love and grace. It is good for people to be kind and generous and to be fair in life.  Such good people will never fall. They will always be remembered.  They will not be afraid of bad news. They are confident because they trust in the Lord. They remain confident and without fear, so they defeat their challenges.  They freely give to the poor. Their goodness will continue forever. They will be honored with victory. The wicked become angry when they see this. They grind their teeth in anger, but then they disappear. They will never get what they want most. (Promises from Psalm 112)
