JESUS ASSURANCE OF SALVATION

Through our Lord Jesus Christ we are assured of salvation. The question is, salvation from what?  We are saved from the wrath or anger that comes from God’s judgment of sin. The good news says, “But God commented his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Rom 5:8-9) Our sin has separated us from God, and the aftermath is death (Rom 6:23). Christ salvation refers to our deliverance from the anger of God.  But removal of sin is needed. Jesus did just that. He took our sins and nailed it on the Cross.  Let’s be thankful to Jesus for His finished work. Acceptance of Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection through faith give us step in the right direction.mThe direction pertains to the living tent (dwelling place) of God, and how we behave in the place. Let’s  learn from the wisdom as expressed in the Bible. “Lord, who can live in your holy Tent? Who can live on your holy mountain? Only those who live pure lives, do what is right, and speak the truth from their hearts. Such people do not say bad things about others. They don’t do things to hurt their neighbors. They don’t tell shameful things about those close to them. They hate those who fail to please God  and honor those who respect the Lord.  If they make a promise to their neighbor, they do what they promised. If they loan money to someone, they do not charge them interest. And they refuse to testify against an innocent person, even if someone offers them money to do it. Whoever lives like this will always stand strong.” (Psalm 15) This passage is one of God’s perfect calling to men. These commands are holy and perfect. God is the only one who can make things possible for them to be accomplished. How? In Christ we can do all things. God designed all for us, He created us in His Image, sent His Son Jesus to forgive and give us new life, He gave us Faith of Christ, the Holy Spirit and Amazing Grace to fulfill His will in us. Soon things will be over, Jesus will come. Let the Grace of God move you to be found doing. Let’s remember what Jesus did on the Cross, His shed Blood and His infinite love expressed in Grace. Whatever your situation today, let God have His ways in you in Christ, His Grace and Holy Spirit till we reach our heavenly destination. Amen.  Be blessed
