JESUS PAID THE PRICE

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He paid the debt for all the sins of the world.  That means He died for the sins you committed yesterday, all your past transgressions.  Likewise, He died for the sins you committed today. Whenever you violate His Word, you are pardoned through Christ’ sacrifice. It also means He died for the sins you’ll commit tomorrow regardless of what mistakes you make in the future. Jesus still accepts you. The Scripture says, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace” (Eph 1:7) In other words, your sin after salvation does not affect your eternal standing before God.  Rather, what sin does is disruptyour communion with Him.  You cannot walk with the Lord and continue in ungodly ways.  Those are two divergent paths.  “For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yes and no, but in Him was yes.  For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him, Amen, unto the glory of God by us”.   (2Cor 1:19-20) So if you want to be close to your Savior, it’s imperative that you choose to walk in His direction.  With this in mind, the act of confession takes on a very important role.  “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped. When each part is working properly, it makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love”. (Eph 4:15-16) Acknowledge that God is right about your ungodly behavior so you can get on His path. Do it to have peace. Confess what displeases Him so you can know Him and serve Him better in fulfilling His Great Commission.

Be Blessed in Christ
