REASON TO PRAISE HIS NAME

What is the reason for us to show Jesus worthy of our love, obedience and praise? The Bible says, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins,  quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved.)” Ephesians 2:4-5 The Lord Jesus Christ, God incarnate, Son of God chose to endure the Cross for you.  Think about that truth.  Crucifixion was the most horrible way a person could die, humiliating, horrifying,  painful and reserved for the worst offenders.  But realize, it wasn’t only earthly anguish Jesus experienced on the Cross, He also felt the unbearable spiritual agony of bearing the sins of the world.  For the first time in eternity He understood the profound hopelessness when He said on the Cross, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”  That time, He got separated from the Father because of our sins He took with Him on the Cross. “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Cor 5:21 Why would the Lord Jesus Christ make such a sacrifice?   He showed how deeply He loves you. He preferred to suffer an excruciating death among the worst criminals rather than be separated from you.  It is sometimes easy to go around thinking that the obstacle is too big, that we’ll never get well, that an illness is going to get the best of us.  We wonder why we don’t have any strength and why we can't get ahead.  The reason is, our thoughts are limiting us.  We give in to what we commonly think about. One cannot think of victory if his mind is set on defeat, thinking weak and having no strength. Feeling not able to accomplish your plans. Think the opposite way, start thinking Godly thoughts, grace and promises He declared to help us. Ask Him for wisdom for He gives freely, willingly and lovingly. So next time you feel unworthy, unlovable, remember what your Savior Jesus Christ endured to save you and keep you safe for all eternity.  He laid down His life willingly for you.  And even now He holds nothing back so you can know Him.  Surely that is the reason for you to praise His Name.
