TURN TO GOD

Let’s face it. All have situations that involve challenges of world materialism with a hook that is baited with security. Cross-roads occurs when we trust the world thinking it has the solutions to our problems. The truth is God is giving us an opposite mode of thought.  The Bible says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  Rom 12:1-2  The truth itself is unchanging, the minds of men are weak and leak things that are diluted leading to error, fear and sin. If somehow, can you keep your faith from failing? Unattended garden will soon be overrun with weeds; heart that fails to cultivate truth, root will shortly be astray, careless and bogged down. How do we recover? First, turn to God’s Word. (2Tim 3:16)  Reading Scripture will not only give you unique insight and courage to move forward with His commands but also keep you connected to His unfailing love wisdom power and presence.   Second, choose that right message.  Are you thinking about how God has helped you in the past, His unfailing attributes and the promises of His Word? Or are you rehearsing your failings?  The former leads to peace and courage while the latter leads only to discouragement.  So be careful what you think about. Walk in the newness of life. (Rom 6:4) Third, keep your focus on God and not your problems.   Your all-knowing, all-powerful and ever present Lord is the One who helps you. He delights in delivering you and can overcome anything you face.  

Trust Him (Proverbs 3:5-6)  Instead of getting wobbly in your faith, choose to believe God and strengthen your relationship with Him. Today find, call or text somebody you can help to ease the pain in their problems. Tell them Jesus is very much eager to help. God will bless you. He has never let you down and never will. Talk to the Holy Spirit always, live in the Faith of Christ and accept His Amazing Grace and live in Peace.
