WHY FOCUS ON GOD?

     “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.” James 1:17 This is a wake-up call realizing we need to focus our mind set on the above gifts of God.  This produces the fruit of the Spirit which is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness and Self-control. These traits come from the above. (Gal 5:22-23)  How will these traits manifest in one’s life? First, through Salvation by accepting, believing, declaring with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe the Father resurrected Him from the dead. (Rom 10:9) Second, this guarantees the Holy Spirit will indwell within you. Hear and Believe the Gospel of your Salvation (the death on the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ) to make it happen (Eph 1:13)  Third, live by Grace for Justification, Sanctification and Oneness with God in Christ. (Rom 5, Eph 4) These occur by the power of the Holy Spirit within you and not of yourself “for by Grace you are saved through Faith and not of yourself, it is a gift of God.” (Eph 2:8)  We will not have peace with God with things that are not from the above. The Bible says, “Bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart do not come down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But wisdom from above is pure peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense. James 3:14-17  God gives us the way ... “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his ways. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong because the Lord is the One who holds his hand. Psalm 37:23-24 Remember, there will be difficulties in life. God is using them to transform us on how He created us to be.  Molded in a refiners fire. (Psalm 66:10) When do we have this life to live?  At the time a person is physically alive.  “For the living know they will die; but the dead do not know anything,  for their memory is forgotten. Ecc 9:5 Knowing these, when you face reality you know you are walking in the way of God, Your life becomes peaceful and fruitful in your family, work, studies and life itself.
