YOU CAN KNOW HIM

Wherever you are in this world, people consistently have in their hearts these three questions regardless of who they are or where they are. “Who is the true God? What is He like? Can I have a relationship with Him?___ People need the Lord. What is so down hearting is that there are people who go to Christian churches every Sunday but arestill unsure of who Jesus really is? Sometimes they doubt Him in an overt way___ they can’t tell you what He’s like. The Bible says, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2Tim 4:3-4). Sometimes people will say they know Him well, but will live in amanner that tells a very different story. Many people live in lies, hypocrisy and pride. Our Lord Jesus teaches us to be humble the way He humbled Himself on the Cross. His shedding of Blood tosanctify us. “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became  bedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (Phil 2: 6-8). Of course, you may already have a well-grounded idea about what theLord is like. Or perhaps like many people, you have some doubts or misconceptions about His character and what He expects of you. The good news is that you can know God. In (Jer 29:14), He promises “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” What is the key to doing so? Taking the Scripture seriously. “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.” (Psalm 19: 7-11) You don’t have to make guesses about God because He has revealed Himself through His Word. And He guarantees He will make Himself known to you as you seek Him.” He is Immanuel, God with us. Welcome Jesus Christ in your heart. He is the Amazing Grace for us. Be blessed. Pastor Edpaul
