CLEANSING OF SIN
The more the soul through faith yields itself to the Spirit of God, to understand and enjoy the full power of reconciliation, the more power the blood exerts in imparting the other blessings. Reconciliation is cleansing from sin. Let us see what God’s Word has to say about this. Cleansing is often spoken among us, as if it were no more than the pardon of sins or the cleansing from guilt. This however, is not so. Scripture does not speak of being cleansed from guilt. Cleansing from sin means deliverance from the guilt of sin. The guilt of sin concerns our relationship with God and our responsibility to make good for our misdoings (or to bear the punishment of them). The pollution of sin, on the other hand, is the sense of defilement and impurity that sin brings to our inner beings and cleansing is needed. It is of great importance, for every believer who desires to enjoy the full salvation that God has provided for him, has to understand correctly what the Scriptures teach about this cleansing. Cleansing is attained by walking in the Light. “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1John 1:7. Here is where Believers are differentiated. We should not devalue ourselves as Believers. God has a purpose and plan for all of us. He gives us gifts and talents to reach others through us. He loves to make the most of every life He touches. God is looking on how you are made of. You have to go deeper with God and declare He is in control and is doing something in your life right now. When you get a good break, when things change successfully in your life, when you are always on the upper hand, recognize God is at work in you. Grace at work. You are reconciled, the power of the Blood of Christ is at work, Grace is the given controlling factor, purity prevails. Be glad, serve the Lord with gladness. Reward is at hand. Soon You will meet Jesus. Your efforts in serving Him is not in vain. Thank You Lord.
