SALVATION FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST

HIGHLIGHTS

God’s anger stopped on the Cross of Christ. The Son saved mankind from the wrath of God on sin. Let’s see the start and conclusion of the process called Salvation.

SALVATION (DEFINITION)

Salvation. Being “saved.” Freedom from the effects of the Fall of Man. Comes through faith of Jesus, who is called in the New Testament “the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.”

TEMPORAL DELIVERANCE                            Know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ PHIL1:19

Paul and Silas was given temporal deliverance from the jail

ETERNAL SALVATION                                                   Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” ACTS 16:30-31.

SALVATION THROUGH CONFESSION               That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. ROM 10:9-10

SALVATION THROUGH GRACE                         For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. EPH 2:8-9

WHAT ARE WE SAVED FROM?                    WRATH OF GOD

Much more then, having now been justified [a]by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. ROM 5:9

SAVING GRACE

For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 1THES 5:9

^^^Our sin has separated us from God, and the consequence of sin is death (Isaiah 59:2; Rom 6:23).

WHO REMOVES SIN?                                 FATHER THROUGH CHRIST

Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity 2TIM 1:9                                     ^^^ Only God can remove sin and deliver us from sin's penalty

THE SON                                                          For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. JOHN 3:17

^^^ God has rescued us through Christ specifically, it was Jesus' death on the cross and subsequent resurrection that achieved our salvation

RECONCILLED                                                                              For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved [a]by His life. ROM 5:10

CHRIST BLOOD                                                 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved [a]by His life. EPH 1:7.

SALVATION ONLY IN CHRIST                             And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”  ACTS 4:12

RECEIVE SALVATION

LISTENING                                                          In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in ]Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,  EPH 1:13

BELIEVE                                                        For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. ROM1:16

REPENTANCE                                             Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord ACTS 3:19

RENEWING OF MIND                              Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your]spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and ]acceptable and perfect. ROM 12:1-2

NAME OF THE LORD                                      For “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ROM 10:13

FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST

HIS GLORY GIVEN TO US                                     He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2COR 5:21

AS WE END

Thank You for the Finished Work of Christ. We have Salvation through grace of God from eternal punishment for sin.  Accepting by faith God' gift of and faith of the Lord Jesus. Peace to all.
