TODAY I WILL BE WITH YOU IN PARADISE

TODAY I WILL BE WITH YOU IN PARADISE ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES

HIGHLIGHTS

There were two malefactors (criminals, thieves) who were crucified together with Christ outside of Calvary called Golgotha. One got saved and the other was not. Why? Let’s learn in today’s God given message according to the Holy Bible.

WHAT SEPARATES A PERSON FROM GOD?

THE SEPARATION                                            But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God,And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear. ISAIAH 59:2

DEATH  (SEPARATION AND SALVATION)                                                           For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ROM 6:23

HOW DO WE THEN GET RECONCILLED WITH GOD AND RECEIVE THE FREE GIFT OF JESUS?

JUSTIFICATION

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. ROM 5:8-9

RECONCILLIATION

10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. ROM 5:10-11

THE GIFT

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. EPH 2:8-9

SALVATION FOLLOWS

That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. ROM 10:9-10

WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THE MALEFACTORS OR CRIMINALS WHO WAS CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST?

CHRIST SOVEREIGNTY (SALVATION)

For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” ROM 9:15

THE GOOD MALEFACTOR

.40  But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

^^^ He recognized and feared God (V.40).

V.41  And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

^^^ He realized that he was a sinner and had a need (v.41).

^^^ He acknowledged Jesus as sinless (V.41).

V.42  And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

^^^ . He realized that Jesus was God and able to save. His statement was hardly one to be made to an average dying man who had no power over death (V.42).

^^^ He believed in the resurrection, entrusted his eternal security to Jesus and not to his good works, which would have been merely academic at that point (V.42).

V.43  And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

^^^ . He received God’s word of his eternal security (V.43). We have His written word.

AS WE END
The finished work of Christ on the Cross is the final call to us regarding going to Heaven.  No amount of questions will endure. Only by the Blood of Christ we can have an abode with God throughout eternity. This is a message of hope. Accept Jesus as Your Lord and Savior.

What is the wait?

For He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you,
And on the day of salvation I helped you.”

Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”— 2COR 6:2
